Swapping restarted
This month Laura and I restarted our swap of watercolour cards.
Here is her beautiful prickly pear cactus with blossom and fruit. I simply love the colours and her drawing style!

My card was related to her new car, she imported a new mini from the UK and I imagined it flying in with a parachute and that was my idea for her card. As it turns out, my card arrived on the same day as the car, what a coincidence!

Watercolour Swap V - December
These lovely birds are called cardinals and Laura has them in her garden - and I only get magpies and pidgeons. As a Christmas card she put them out in the snow - Winter Cardinals!
I forgot to scan my card, but it was a simple Christmas tree on old book paper, nothing fancy...

Update: Laura sent me a picture of my card, so here it is.

Watercolour Swap IV - November
This is Lauras fourth watercolour for me from the month November. She entitled it Indian Corn.
I especially like the colour effects all the tiny dots of corn have together.
Mine wasn't a true watercolour but mixed media from my painting course on Sylt in October. It's ink and water, pigments and graphite glimmer. A kind of Stormy Sea...

Watercolour Swap III - October
This month, Laura sent me this wonderful hummingbird. She is a bird expert and tells me this one is ruby-throated hummingbird feeding on a hibiscus flower. She gets to see those in her own garden!
My own watercolour was this autum tree.

Watercolour Swap II - September
It's been a while since Laura and I swapped watercolour cards for the second time in September. Hers was beautiful Miss Autumn in very bright and intense colours - simply love the orange and blue contrast. It's part of my autmn decoration now!
Since Laura likes birds very much and I had a Zentangle phase again, I decided to do a kingfisher Zentangle style and add the watercolours.

Here's the black & white version:

Watercolour Swap I - August
In August I sent a watercolour card to Laura in the USA via postcrossing. She liked it and suggested we should start a watercolour card swap. So here are the results of our first round. I love her card very much, the green is even brighter originally, perfect. Mine is a lot simpler or naive compared to Lauras fine lines and shadows.
