Beatrix Potter

Beatrix Potter (1866-1943) is an English author and illustrator who is most famous for The Tale of Peter Rabbit. I haven't read any of her books yet but her water colour illustrations are truly unique and beautiful.

Lately I received two Beatrix Potter cards via postcrossing which is the reason for this post.
The first one shows the original jacket design, it was first published in 1902. The card was sent by Wilma from the Netherlands.

The other one shows a scene from the book:

"You may go into the fields or down the lane, but don't go into McGregor's garden."

It was sent to me by Margaret from the UK.
