Ceramic art from South Africa

Innocence - ceramic by Richard Bollers
After these many years it is still surprising how a little postcard can make an impression on you. I don't know that much about South Africa. This card shows a ceramic work by an artist who lives and works there. Richard Bollers addresses "everyday issues affecting the urban poor" so a website of an art initiative tells us about him. There was an information text on the artist on the card too, it was good to get to know more.

The card was sent by Jaco and Johanet who told me a bit about their weekend and I liked that they enjoyed the same things on weekends as I do - although living more than 9000 km away.
