Czech Stories

After one year of postcrossing, I'm amazed about the funny characters in Czech children's stories.
Mule Krtek is the most famous of course but I also got to know the drawings of Zdenek Smetana (e.g. The Little Witch illustration).
And here we have the story of Rumcajs from the little town of Jičín with his wife Manka and his son Cipísek. He's a shoemaker but gets in trouble with the major of the town and turns to live in the forest as a bandit. Kind of a Czech Robin Hood I guess.
I think the characters are cute and I love to read about the stories behind the cards I get.
