Ship in a Bottle

If all the ships I have at sea
Should come a-sailing home to me,
Ah, well! the harbor would not hold
So many ships as there would be
If all my ships came home from sea.

Florida

Robin got me daydreaming with her card:
"Wouldn't it be great
to be sitting there
reading a favorite book?"
Oh, yes it would!

First received cards

A lovely B&W postcard from Cherry in China. Her real name ist Zhangchen, but apparently they love to have a western name too.

Then there's a more typical tourist card with a lake and park pavillion on it, located in a town called Taichung in Taiwan. It was sent by Yi-Ga. The card is not very special but she wrote that if I liked open waters (like it says on my postcrossing profile) I was a person who liked freedom.
Probably true...

Pooh - and Piglet, Tigger and Roo, too!
Disney greetings from Slovakia by Patricia who has her own blog - in Slovakian!

Wave succeeding wave

And see the rivers how they run
Through woods and meads, in shade and sun,
Sometimes swift, sometimes slow,—
Wave succeeding wave, they go
A various journey to the deep,
Like human life to endless sleep!

Against the current

postcard showing Gdynia, Poland, in 1930, sent by Agnieszka

So we beat on,
boats against the current,
borne back ceaselessly
into the past.

Postcrossing Cancellation Mark Taiwan

I received this ocean view card, area of Jiufen, Taipei, Taiwan. It was sent by Shui, a very active postcrosser. They held a postcrossing meeting in the city of Taichung in May this year. They used a specia l cancellation mark (see article on the postcrossing blog) for their cards and I'm happy having received a card showing that cancellation mark (only three weeks later, snail mail takes time...), here is the card's other side:

Shui has a very neat handwriting, it almost looks printed.
Notice the cute drawing and the beautiful stamps!

Postcrossing at its best!
