The Bone Hacker is Kathy Reichs' 22nd case with
forensic anthropologist Temperance Brennan. After a near death escape during a storm in Montreals Saint Lawrence
river one night this case starts with Tempe investigating a dead body found in the harbour. As it turns out the dead came from the islands of Turks and Caicos. Their local Detective Musgrove flies over to Canada not only to find out about their citizen but also to ask Tempe to assist with the identification of two recently discovered skeletons. So Tempe flies to the Carribean to help and gets immediately involved in the hunt after a serial killer. As usual, Tempes inner monologues and her dialogues with quirky police personel are entertaining and the case, taking place in only a few days, is fast-paced and thrilling. It's interesting to see how it comes together at the end. Maybe it would have worked with Tempe not being that much involved herself (as usual) but as a fan of the series one is used to that.
