"Reading the world"

Trying to broaden my literary horizon with Reading the world - inspired by Ann Morgan whose journey of reading one book from every (UN recognized) country of the world is documented on her website "A year of reading the world". She also has a list of reading suggestions.
I won't set a deadline for this challenge, I just think it's interesting to document if you can boost the variety of authors and literatures you read by simply paying attention on where they are from. Books I have on my to-read-pile are marked blue

With the challenge set bei the Mitlesezentrale on goodreads (started in 2024, continued in 2025) I change the rules from "the author's country" to "the book is mainly set in that country" which of course is not the same.
